“You have to take the good with the bad, smile when you’re sad,

love what you’ve got and remember what you had.

Always forgive but never forget,

learn from your mistakes but never regret,

people change, things go wrong, just remember life goes on…”

Glimpse of Scavenger Hunt from the Last Session ❤️

Yes, 3 months of a beautiful journey at Amal Academy have come to an end. I strongly believe that things don’t last forever no matter what circumstances you face, life goes on... but what remains with us in our hearts is the impression of the time we spent together and the lessons we learnt.

The whole batch of 41 fellows are transformed completely into new humans. Humans, who are more focused towards their goals, confident in their lives and are excited about their future.

Thinking about the whole journey, and then the last session with Amal fellows gives a bright smile. The things we did for getting connected and only for fun, were actually a cornerstone of the new journey, which we all will be starting in our near future.

Though writing about the lessons we learnt in the whole tenure of 3 months is going to be difficult somehow, but the excitement amal family maintained is remarkable. The last session started with the video Batch 158 made for the independence day, this was an official break of getting popular at Amal Academy, followed by game “Scavenger Hunt”, we were divided into two groups and assigned riddles to solve. Each answer to the riddle was actually a household item or stuff we use in our daily lives, and the exciting part was solving the riddles and guessing the answers.

We usually play games just for the sake of winning or defeating the other team. But at amal, we learned that winning is essential but with honesty, integrity and dedication. You should be enthusiastic about winning and playing in the grounds of your life as well but you should never forget about the values you set for yourself.

After the game, our facilitators gave regards to every fellow with some witty and admiring names and appreciated every fellow for performances and dedication. This complete session of connecting with each other and as long as we are receptive talking to each other can uplift a person emotionally. While giving a reflection back to the last session, I realized that we implemented the five values of amal (honesty, responsibility, acceptance, humility and growth) which were taught in the first week. And since then, these values have become the core part of our lives. Even though we are playing games for the sake of fun, we as amal fellows didn’t forget the necessity of integrity, the essence of acceptance and spirit of humility.

With the end we realized that we built the relationship with care, humility and gratitude, therefore no matter where we go, what we do; as long as our hearts are connected we will remain in touch with each other.

Things change…we have to let go of things we love…but we also gain so many new things to love…It’s still a transition phase for me but at least I can catch glimpses of the fact that life ahead is going to be amazing-amazing in different ways, and not just for me but for every fellow who is graduating from Amal Academy.
